Press Invitation September 16: Brussels Universities and University Hospitals Join Forces for Groundbreaking Alzheimer’s Research
Première plateforme commune de données patient pour un diagnostic et un traitement plus rapides et précis
First-ever shared platform with patient data for faster and more accurate diagnosis and treatment
September 21 marks World Alzheimer’s Day. To highlight this occasion, Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) and UZ Brussel cordially invite you to a press conference on Monday, September 16, to present a new groundbreaking Alzheimer’s research project.
To strengthen the fight against this disease, scientists from Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), UZ Brussel, Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB), Hôpital Erasme, Université Catholique de Louvain (UCL), and Cliniques Universitaires Saint-Luc are developing a unique digital ecosystem for the secure exchange of patient data and expertise. This is the first time such a multicenter project, involving three universities across communities, has been launched.
The three-year project, named Translate AD, aims to provide earlier and more accurate diagnoses. The researchers have received €2.8 million in funding from Innoviris, the Brussels agency for research and innovation.
Researchers and representatives from all the institutions will be present at the press conference. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with all project partners.
